McDonald’s Czech Republic is looking for Indirect Procurement function in Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ukraine, ensuring the strategic sourcing and procurement of goods and services that support the company’s operations. This role focuses on developing strategies, optimizing costs, improving supplier performance, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures, executing supplier management and sourcing best practices in alignment with market and global procurement strategy. This role will report to the Supply Chain Lead for the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ukraine, collaborating closely with team members, key support departments, essential restaurant stakeholders, and the Global Supply Chain groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect categories, including IT, marketing, professional services, facilities, and other non-production-related goods and services.
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and market trends.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and performance.
- Implementation of digital tools for procurement processes automation to drive value.
- Align procurement strategies with overall business objectives and goals.
- Establish and nurture strong, positive relationships with franchisees to help them achieve their business goals and improve their operations.
Compliance and controls:
- Implementing, monitoring, and managing good procurement practices in close alignment with Global Procurement Policies.
- Completing third party due diligence, risk assessment and coordinate periodic supplier audits based on McDonald’s policies.
- Maintaining updated Vendor Master data.
- Driving compliance in adherence to the category strategy and approved preferred supplier list.
- Scoring suppliers and supporting the supplier selection process.
- Identifying supplier risks and formulating suggested mitigation strategies.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the procurement budget for indirect categories.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to achieve savings targets.
- Conduct financial analysis to support procurement decisions and supplier negotiations.
- Report on procurement performance and savings achieved to senior management.
People Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the procurement team.
- Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect categories.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within procurement.
Skills & Abilities:
- English knowledge (Upper-Intermediate level).
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and market trends.
